Type is detected automatically: general credit codes go to gifted balance; scoped codes grant model-only credits; membership codes activate, renew, or elevate and grant period credits.

Notes

Each code has a use limit (default 1). Membership codes can be redeemed only once per account.
Credit and scoped codes are free gifts (default 1 calendar month expiry unless the code specifies days); membership credits follow the membership period and do not start Stripe auto-billing.
If you have an auto-renewing subscription, a higher-tier membership code elevates access for the rest of the current period and grants extra credits without changing the renewal date; the next Stripe renewal returns to your paid plan.
Expired, exhausted, or lower-tier membership codes cannot be redeemed. Scoped credits only work on models in their scope. Keep the code and contact support if needed.
