Video editor
The Video editor node is a multi-track timeline editing container; opening it launches a standalone editor for stitching, layering and exporting clips into a finished cut.
Opening the timeline editor
Add a Video editor node from the Add node menu (marked Beta), or select a video node and click Video editor in the toolbar. Wire in the clips to compose, open the node, and you enter the full-screen timeline editor.

Multi-track editing
The editor is a multi-track timeline; common actions (shortcuts work inside the editor):
- Play / pause preview: Space;
- Split the clip at the playhead: S;
- Delete the selected clip: Delete or Backspace;
- Undo / redo: ⌘/Ctrl + Z, ⌘/Ctrl + Shift + Z;
- Drag a clip to move, snap and swap with a neighbor; drag a clip's edge to trim its length;
- Close the current pop-up menu: Esc.
Exporting
The export dropdown at the top-right of the editor has two options:
- Export to local: auto-downloads to your computer when the compose finishes;
- Export to canvas: appears as a new node on the canvas when the compose finishes.
If the timeline has a gap with no clip covering it, you only get a hint — it will not block export.
